Party Poker Cheat
It seems that many Poker Players are worried about the possibility of Cheating in Online Poker. There has been a lot of talk about the popular Poker sites like Party Poker and others rigging the deck. The reason the sites rig the decks, is explained away as a business decision, in order to make the sites more money in rake or to give new players artificial luck, so they get sucked into the site.
The basic idea of all Party Poker Cheats is to get computers to perform tasks that humans are considered good at. Vision is one of them. You can put a picture on the computer screen, but it is very difficult for the computer to determine whether the image is a table, a cup, or a Party Poker Cheat chip. That is still one very difficult problem in computer science. Another one is language recognition - to be able to speak into a computer, have it write your words on the screen and have some understanding of the meaning of those words. Accomplishing these tasks would be typical of Party Poker cheat. Tasks that are more trivial may be things such as playing party poker cheat.
However, physical Poker Rooms point out that collusion is still possible by exploiting holes in the technology. Ironically, although the controversial issues of safeguards and protection are far from settled, MGM Mirage has recently been granted a license to enter the online gambling world. This will continue to result in the confrontation of the same problem on both fronts.
What these programs can do, is create databases of games that occur on the Poker site, which can then be statistically run through to look for inconsistencies. Although most players would never play enough to make a case for statistical deviance, professional players would definitely notice strange deviations in deck shuffles, draws and other details with their trackers. Seeing how a pro player would have a database easily reaching into the hundreds of thousands of hands, they would definitely be able to judge the randomness of the deck, if they were technically able to run reports against their own data.
